Students' abilities are important in learning, students' abilities can determine student self
development. Learner agency is one of abilities for students to choose learn based on their
interests, students having self-awareness about the importance of learning and having
their own initiative. This research aims to know that the studenst can display learner
agency capabilities through an extensive reading course. This study used questionnaires
and interviews to determine the display of learner agency through extensive reading. This
research was conducted at a university in Bogor. The participants in this study were 5
students in the extensive reading course. Based on the results of questionnaire and
interviews, it shows that the have the characteristics of learner agency , such as : having
their own initiative, having more activity and parisipating in learning based on their
interests.
