Wordwall.net is a platform that is used as a game-based learning medium in
learning English. The purpose of this study is to find out the students’ perception
on the use of wordwall.net as vocabulary learning media. This study was conducted
at SMAN 8 Bogor. The participants in this study were students of the 11th class of
the natural science. This researcher used qualitative research with a flow model by
Miles and Huberman to analyze the data. To collect the data, the researcher used
two instruments, namely questionnaires and interviews. The findings of this study
indicate that based on the students’ perception of learning vocabulary by using
Wordwall.net it can have a positive impact on students. Most of students felt
comfortable, interested, motivated & happy using wordwall.net, they enjoyed the
teamwork and competition. From the students' perceived effects after using
Wordwall.net, Wordwall.net was a kind of awaited learning media for the students.
In addition, Wordwall.net also influenced the students' engagement dan it indicated
that the students paid more attention to the learning process. In addition, the
researchers strongly recommend the teachers to start using Wordwall.net as a media
to facilitate students in learning vocabulary.
