Abstak

ABSTRACT
Online games not only provide entertainment but also provide interesting
challenges to be solved so that individuals play online games without taking into
account the time to achieve satisfaction. One method that can be used to determine
the degree of addiction came online is the method of K-Means Clustering. K-Means
Clustering is one method of non-hierarchical data clustering that attempts to
partition existing data into one or more clusters / groups. This research takes sample
data from student questionnaire at Ibn Khaldun University Bogor which will be
grouped based on online game addiction level by using K-Means Clustering
method, then the group is used to know the relation between online game addiction
level to student's academic achievement. K-Means Clustering has a variety of
advantages including simple to understand, easy to implement, requires a little
knowledge, able to handle numerical and categorical data, tough, and can handle
large datasets.
Kata Kunci: Clustering, K-MEAN, academic achievement, prediction.
