Reading is a fundamental knowledge of learning a foreign language. Therefore, reading is very important to learn. The aims of this research are to identify English teachers’ problems and strategies to solve the problems in teaching reading to high school students in Tasdikiah School Songkhla Thailand. The data were collected through interview and observation. The participants were two teachers who have long work experience in English teaching. This research showed that problems the teachers have in teaching reading to high school students in Thailand are: Problem in students’ understanding when explaining the materials using English, understanding when explaining the materials using English, problem in teachers preperation in teaching reading and problem in The lack ability of Thai student to read texts or sentences in English language. The strategies used by teacher to solve the problems in teaching reading to high school students in Tasdikiah Senior High School Songkhla Thailand are: using story text, introducing and translating English text to Malay/Thai language, Answers to the questions that according to the text story.
