Development of STEM-Based Science Learning Modules to Improves Students Critical Thinking Elementary Schools
This study aims to determine the results of developing STEM-based science learning modules to improve students' critical thinking and to determine the feasibility of learning modules to be used by fourth grade students of SD/MI. This study uses the ASSURE development procedure. The subject of this research is class IV SDIT Khoiru Ummah. In schools, students' critical thinking has not been seen, therefore the researchers created a learning module that focuses on learning science to improve students' critical thinking. Based on the results of the validation of the learning module, it was declared feasible to use seen from the results of design validation, which obtained 76.31%, language validation 87.5% and material validation 71.5%. In addition, the increase in students' critical thinking was declared effective. Based on the results of the large group which was divided into 2, namely the experimental class got greater results than the control class. From the results presented, the STEM-based science learning module is suitable for use by class IV and is effective in improving critical thinking for class IV SD/MI students.
