The aims of this research were to know what kinds of communication barriers in classroom and wanted to know how communication barriers male and female teacher toward male and female students. Communication barriers are the obstructions or difficulties involved in the process of communication, which distort messages from being properly delivered or understood by the receivers (Shannon and Weaver 1963, as cited in dabaj, 2012, p.55). As a Teacher, we do not usually realize what our communication barriers when we are teaching in classroom, because good communication supports our teaching get success. Therefore, the researcher was interested in doing the research about analysis communication barriers in classroom interaction.
The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. It was conducted at SMPIT Ummul Quro Bogor. The population of the research was English Teacher, those were, male and female teacher. She used observation sheet to find out the kinds of communication barriers in classroom. In analyzed the data the researcher organize the data into some categorize and then make the description.
The result of this research showed that kinds of communication barriers that happened from male teacher who teachers male and female students and female teacher who teaches male and female students were different. Total of communication barriers have been found were 8 kinds, those were, different in perception, lack of clarity in the message, anger, drop in visitors, disinterest, poorpronunciation, lack of common language and communication overload.
