Title : Students’ Perception on The Use of Grammarly for
Writing Activity

Grammarly is a tool that can be used to enhance students’ writing quality. It can help the EFL
student minimize grammatical errors and their fear of writing and enhance their awareness of
how to express ideas and write clearly. The purpose of this reseach is to find out the students’
perception on the use of grammarly in writing activity. The research design used in this
research was descriptive qualitative. The researcher used questionnaire and interview as a
research instruments in collecting the data. The participants in this research were five
students of English Education at a University in Bogor. The result of this research showed
that students had positive perceptions on the use of grammarly in writing activity. It was
found that students generally view Grammarly as a highly beneficial tool for improving their
writing skills. They appreciate Grammarly's ability to identify and correct errors in grammar,
spelling, and writing style, leading to increased confidence and enhanced writing quality.
This research indicates that Grammarly can be used for improving writing quality by catching
grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, boosting user confidence and productivity. This
research suggestions can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness, usability, and
impact of Grammarly across various contexts and user groups.
