The purpose of this study is to describe the students’ perception in reading comprehension by utilizing the Wattpad platform. This researcher used qualitative research. Data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews. Participants in this study were students from one of the Islamic high schools in Bogor. The participants in this study were students of the 11th class of social science. The findings of this study indicate that based on the perception of reading comprehension using Wattpad can have a positive impact on students. The Wattpad is a platform that can be used in the world of education, especially for English
language learners. Wattpad platform provides various genres and interesting stories. This can make students more interested in doing reading comprehension on Wattpad. Furthermore, students feel that reading using the Wattpad platform can also increase their vocabulary. However, the use of the Wattpad platform must be used with caution if it is used for underage students. The selection of stories must also be chosen by the teacher. Because the Wattpad platform provides genres for adults.
