Abstak
Vocabulary learning in the student learning process is very important because it
is a benchmark for whether a method used by a teacher is successful or not, by using
the right method a teacher can improve student learning outcomes, especially in the
process of improving vocabulary skills where vocabulary mastery is very difficult for
students to understand, because of many factors. This study aims to determine students'
perspectives and the benefits of using song subtitles as a learning medium for improving
vocabulary mastery. The research employed a qualitative method, with data collected
using questionnaires and interviews involving 21 students. The results showed that most
students agreed that using song subtitles makes the learning process, particularly
vocabulary development, easier and more enjoyable.
These findings indicate the need for teachers to apply appropriate learning
methods and develop methods that facilitate learning, particularly in improving student
abilities.
