The textbook used should facilitate the achievement all of the materials and steps
of the teaching learning process are written down in the lesson plan. This study
used descriptive qualitative case study as a framework for analyzing and
collecting the data. The qualitative data were obtained from textbook and lesson
plan. . The results findings of this study concluded that(1) the lesson plans
component mostly, are found in the textbook (2) The materials provided in the
textbook completely developed, Implictly, there is not explained in the textbook,
Explictly, explanation in the basic competencies (3)The steps of teaching based
on curriculum 2013, using scientific approach. Implictly, The task in the textbook
are not explained adjusted to curriculum 2013 implementation. Based on the
findings of this study the researcher suggested that English teachers so that
teachers have other textbooks to facilitate learning activities.
