Interest makes students having preference to engage writing activities rather
than others. The feel of interest can overcome students’ anxiety in writing. The use of
interesting media becomes a solution. One of the media that can be used is cartoon.
Cartoon has already been used by the former researchers for any subject in classroom.
All of the researches show the positive influence of cartoon. Cartoon can bring fun in
the classroom in this research the percentages of statement saying interest are
increasing. That becomes a suggestion for teacher to use cartoon in writing activity.
