Writing is one of the most complex activities in teaching learning

English writing is difficult for the students to be mastered. In classroom based on
genre which one of its type is recount, writing it seems quite hard to gain while in
other side recount text is kind of text that retell the past events. If we look at to
that definition, it is confused to understand why the students get difficulties in
writing it. Because of that, the writer tries to find out the solution to help the
students and she chose pictures as teaching aids to increase students’ writing skill
of recount text in the research she has done.
