: Students’ Perception on the Use of Islamic Song in
Teaching English at Solihuddin Elementary School in
Songkhla Thailand
ABSTRACT
Islamic song is one of the teaching media which was used to help students
in learning English. The implementation of islamic song in class brings up many
benefits in teaching English. By teaching Islamic song, students are able to build
English skills with religious understanding. Islamic song also motivates students
and develops their language thought and speaking in learning. The purpose of this
research is to know the students perception on the use of Islamic song in teaching
English at solihuddin elementary school. This research employes qualitative
research. The data of students’ perception on the use of Islamic song at solihuddin
elementary school are obtained from questionnaire, interview and photo voice.
This study involves 26 respondents who come from four grade at solihuddin
elementary school. The result shows that using islamic song gives many
advantages for students in learning English particulary in speech production
(75,62%), develop of brain (71,32%) and students motivation (76,43%).
