Abstak

Reading is an important skill in learning English but sometimes students get
some problems in the Reading process because they limited vocabulary knowledge
so they are not confident and difficult to understand when learning English and
some skills in English. Teachers must know how the experiences of some students
who have attended classes to improve the quality of teachers in teaching with the
help of students’ experiences. This study aims to find out and provide information
about what students experience in learning ER and how students respond after
taking ER classes what they get after studying and attending ER classes. This type
of research was case study with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in
this study are interview and questionnaire. The results of the study revealed that
students or participants had many positive experiences in learning to read
extensively in the EFL class. Students believe that participating in Extensive
Reading activities or lessons in clas can provide many benefits and advantages for
students who take ER classes.
