We live in the technology era, in which technology is important in every aspect
especially in education. There are many technologies or applications that can be used
as media when we are teaching English, especially in speaking. This research aims to
know students’ perceptions on using Short Movie to enhance speaking performance at
junior high school in Bogor. The researcher used qualitative method and adapted online
observation, online interview and also online focus group discussion to collect the data.
The participants were twelve students that at junior high School in Bogor. The findings
of this research indicated students’ perceptions used Short Movie to enhance their
speaking performance, there are: 1) Short Movie was able to help the students to
enhance their speaking performance, 2) Short Movie was able to help the students to
enhance their pronunciation, 3) Short Movie is a useful media to enrich student’s
vocabularies and, 4) Short Movie makes the students enthusiastic in Speaking Class.
