The present study aimed to investigate the EFL pre-service teachers preferences regarding the use of digital platforms especially LMS, Google Clasroom. Google Drive, and WhatsApp in the context of ELT and the pre-service EFL teachers believe about utilizing digital platforms in ELT. This study used a qualitative data. This study conducted by using a survey method and case study there are 20 EFL pre-service teachers from the Islamic University in Bogor, especially students of the English Education study Program in the semester range from two to eight to take part as participants. Data was collected using closed-ended questionnaire based on tha CALL evaluation criteria, and semi-structured interviews. The findings showed that LMS, Google Classroom. Google Drive, and Google Classroom reached positive agreement on the technology criteria for teaching English and WhatsApp reached positive agreement on the technology criteria for the impact on teaching English. Specifically, the criteria for language teaching potential. WhatsAp got the highest average. On the meaning focus criteria, WhatsApp got the highest average. On the criteria learner fit and the authenticity, WhatsAp got the highest average. On the criteria enjoyable platforms and user friendly, such as the use of WhatsApp, which can improve English speaking skills and discussion and Google ClassRoom, which can expand EFL pre-service teachers’ knowledge based on the teaching materials. On the criterion of user friendliness EFL pre-service teachers chose WhatsApp and Google Clasroom as user friendly applications.The conclusion is how preservice teachers preferences understand the material for teaching English using digital platforms, and how they beliefs of the utilization of teaching and learning using digital platforms.
