Cake has been applied as one of platforms for learning. The purpose of this
research was to find out the students? perception on the use of cake and how does
the use of cake affect the students? learning of speaking skill. because currently
using learning media can attract students' interest to improve students' speaking
skills. The right learning media is very important so that learning objectives can
be achieved, achieved optimally, especially in speaking English, not only learning
objectives
will be achieved, but also students feel happier if there are media used in learning
so that it can attract their interest in learning English. The research design used in
this research was descriptive qualitative method. The researcher used the
questionnaire and interview as a research instrument to collecting the data. The
participants in this research were fourteen students in Senior High School at
Bogor. The result of this research showed that students had positive perceptions
when using the cake application to improve their speaking skills.
