Abstak
This research aims to understand the perceptions of "Englishfess" followers on the
X (Twitter) application for enhancing English vocabulary. The research method
used is a qualitative case study involving five active followers of the @englishfess_
account. The characteristics of the 5 participants are that some of them are English
language students, and the others are ordinary people who do not understand
English. Data were collected through closed questionnaires and semi-structured
interviews. The research results show that @englishfess_ helps followers expand
their vocabulary, especially in the context of daily conversations, idioms, and slang.
Followers reported many significant changes after following the "Englishfess"
account. In addition, interactions among users in the comment section create a
collaborative and contextual learning environment. This study concludes that
@englishfess_ is an effective and relevant learning medium to enhance English
vocabulary mastery.
