Technology-based learning media has become an important tool in modern
education, especially in language learning. The integration of technology can make
students more interested in their studies, particularly in developing their English
listening skills. One way that can help students develop listening skills in English
by utilizing online media related to listening, by using British Council Website.
British Council Website is platform that offers a variety of material for learning
English. This research aims to investigate students’ perceptions on the use of
British Council Website in promoting their listening skills. This study was
conducted at a junior high school in Bogor, West Java, with a sample 15 students
as the participants. A qualitative case study method was applied, using
questionnaires and interviews to collect data. The results reveal that the British
Council Website had positive perceptions on the use of British Council Website in
learning listening skill which is easy to access and can be used anywhere and
anytime. In addition, students felt motivated to use this website because the
exercises and real-life listening materials made learning enjoyable and engaging for
the students. Many students reported improvements in their listening skills after
using the website regularly.
