Abstak
Socrative application is the one of the media that can be used by teachers assessed
students in reading activities. Socrative application is consider as an interest and effective
learning media in reading activities. The purpose of this study is to find out teachers’
perception toward the effectiveness of Socrative application in reading activities
especially as a media in assessing students’ reading ability. This study uses qualitative
case study method with questionnaire and interview as the instruments to collect the data.
The participants of this study were thirty English teachers from different junior high
school at Bogor. The findings in this study showed that teachers have a positive
perception in using Socrative application in reading activities. Participants agreed that
Socrative application is an interesting, and effective learning media.
