Vocabulaary through Digital Quizizz
ABSTRACT
Vocabulary covers all four areas of English language acquisition: reading, writing,
listening and speaking. To engage children in vocabulary learning, teachers should
use resources that are unique and interesting to them. The use of gamification in
education is receiving significant attention, indicating a broader trend towards
progressive and student-centered teaching methodologies, with diverse effects on
various aspects of education, such as student engagement, motivation and learning
outcomes. The purpose of this study is to find out students' perceptions of digital
gamification in teaching vocabulary. This research was conducted on 16 twelfth
grade students at a state high school in Bogor. The researcher used case study
method with questionnaire and interview data collection. Students’ perception of
learning vocabulary through digital gamification are quite positive so it can be
concluded that learning vocabulary through digital gamification can be used as an
effective, interesting and motivating learning vocabulary as learning media.
