This study investigated whether the teachers’ lesson plans are relevant to 2013
curriculum or not. An English teacher was as the participant. This study used
qualitative method. The data were collected from document analysis and interview as
additional information. All data obtained were analyzed qualitatively. The lesson plans
were taken from five English teachers. The researcher analyzed every components of
lesson plans which are indicators and basic competences, objectives, materials,
method, media, activities, and assessment. The data of interviewing used for additional
information. The principles of this study are Permendikbud Nomor 22 Tahun 2016.
The result of the research that the lesson plans made by English teacher were relevant
to 2013 curriculum but there were some components of lesson plan which were not
relevant to 2013 curriculum. This study suggested that English teachers should apply
the requirements of lesson plan that has been stipulated in national curriculum.
