Teacher right now needs a lot of strategies to make students be more enthusiastic during teaching and learning process. One of the strategies is the use of web 2.0 tools which include of e-learning. Padlet is one of web 2.0 tools that can be used to facilitate students in learning process with its features. This research aims at finding how is the implementation of Padlet in writing descriptive text and to know what are Padlet’s affordances in writing descriptive text. The research participants were the students of class XI-IPA 1 and the setting was in one of Senior High School in Cibinong in the academic year 2018/2019. The class consisted of 20 students. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative approach and the type used was case study. The data were taken from the students’ interview and from the observation sheets. The result of this research shows that from the observations result, the implementation of Padlet in writing descriptive text runs effectively. In addition, the result of the students’ interview shows that Padlet has some affordances in writing descriptive text such as to
brainstorm basic expressions, work on grammatical structures, practice vocabulary, share ideas and participate in common stories.
