This current research is aimed to investigate the use of code switching by English teachers at a senior high school and exploring the types of code switching and the teachers’ motives for code switching in EFL classroom. This research is under the paradigm of qualitative research and case study was used as the research design. Observation and interview were used as the research instruments to get the data. The participants were two English teachers from a senior high school in Rangkasbitung. The findings showed in the observation that teacher 1 used code switching 12 times, there are: intra sentential 4 times, inter sentential 5 times, and extra sentential 3 times. Meanwhile, the teacher 2 used code switching 13 times, there are: intra sentential 4 times, inter sentential 6 times, and extra sentential 3 times. The teacher 2 is one of the teachers who use the most code switching in classroom. The teachers’ motives use code switching as English learning materials are to involve students in learning and to convey material.
