This study aims to investigate the implementation of teaching learning
activities which leads to High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) based on 2013
Curriculum. This study also explored the teachers` perception of the implementation
of High Order Thinking Skill. The research method used in this study was qualitative
descriptive. The subject of this study were 2 English teachers in grade VIII. Data
was collected using observation and interview. The finding reveal that 2 English
teachers have already implemented teaching learning activities enhancing to
students` High Order Thinking Skill such as the teachers used discussion method in
group, observing and giving responses the problem, presentation, solving problem,
questions and answer method. The teachers` perception was very positive, no
significant obstacles in applied HOTS in teaching learning process, used time more
effectively and efficiently, HOTS in teaching learning process made students more
active and interactive.
