The purposes of this study are to investigate the implementation of video based
speaking project in an EFL classroom and to find out the students’ response of
using video based speaking project in an EFL classroom in speaking ability. The
case study 2.0 has adopted in this study and utilizes qualitative data. The
qualitative data collected using photo voice, online artifacts and interview. The
participants of this study are students in a general high school in West Java. The
focuses of this study are the implementation of video based speaking project
through Screencast-O-Matic and students’ response during the implementation of
project learning. This study has implemented two video project learning by three
sections. First section, students do self-practicing project, second section is group
practicing project which motivate students to create collaborative learning, and the
third is discussing their project result. The results reveal that video based speaking
project have positive response on students’ attitude and students’ capability in
speaking English. Moreover, this study give positive feedback, involving
enhancing confidence, motivating in learning English and speaking, enhancing
their pronunciation ability and facilitating the students to get deeper learning in
reflection.
