This study aims to describe the application of English Learning Speech Assistant
(ELSA)Speak in developing students' English pronunciation skills. This study included
five students from a University in Jakarta's who had been using the application for at
least one month. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Interview and
questionnaire were conducted to obtain data in this study. Furthermore, based on the
students' experiences with the ELSA Speak application, The levels of pronunciation
that Elsa Speak support Overall, based on the observing the application : Native,
Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner, and Lower Beginner. And the results show that
most students are at the intermmediate level. The Benefits that Students’ can get in
learning pronunciation by using Elsa Speak application: Based on the students’
experience using Elsa Speak application for pronunciation learning: Deciding the
learning topic, allocating learning time, correcting their own mistakes in the learning
process, evaluating learning performance, determining the importance and needs in
learning pronunciation, learning independently, testing learning progress, being
responsible for their learning process, and practicing what they have learned. Indeed,
features application that students can get from The Elsa speak application such as
vowel and consonant sounds, diphthongs, intonation, and word stress can be useful for
learning pronunciation.
