Difficulty is something hard to do or to understand.” In other words, difficulty is something which is not easy to understand or a thing that hard to (Bird, 1996). And Mistakes in speaking English in public are a major problem in mastering the language. So, there must be a solution to this problem. Therefore, it is important to know the difficulties students face when they have to speak in public. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The author also used threeinstruments: observation, questionnaire and interview. Researchers conducted research at one of the 8th grade Islamic boarding schools in Bogor with a total of 5 students selected using purposive sampling. Based on the results, there are the difficulties faced by students in speaking English in public are: poor vocabulary mastery, grammatical errors and difficulties in pronunciation as well as lack of confidence in speaking English in public, then based on indicators that have been carried out in observations, namely Clustering, Language Competence, and Performance Condition. Students' solutions to overcome difficulties speaking in English include looking at and reviewing notes on grammar material, memorizing more vocabulary, practicing pronunciation, preparing themselves and the material that will be presented and not thinking about something that hasn't happened yet.
