In this paper, the researcher limits the discussion only to know teachers’
perception on the impact of group discussion toward their reading comprehension. This
research was conducted by using Descriptive Qualitative research with Case Study as
research method. Case study was the most appropriate research method for this research because this research was intended to know ability students in reading skill of the students through discussing and student’s perception in reading-discussing skill. The research was taken from 5 Teachers in Bogor. The researcher chose them because they used Group Discussion in teaching reading. In conducting a qualitative research, the instruments were used by the researcher interview and questionnaire of teachers. By using Small Group Discussion in learning reading comprehension, the students will be
able to comprehending the text better, easily, more confidence, enjoy and feel fun in the
class. To English teacher it can motivate to create effective technique in teaching English especially in teaching reading comprehension
