Along with the rapid development of education, it is certainly important in the world of education to be improved, so that learning can continue to develop such as learning to speak by using the Project-Based Learning method. In this study, the author dug deeper into the teachers' perceptions of the use of Project-Based Learning methods in public speaking activities involving 6 teachers at a boarding school in Bogor-West Java. The researcher conducted a qualitative case study presenting the findings obtained from questionnaire and interview. The results of this study revealed positive perceptions that the Project-Based Learning method can improve students' speaking skills and motivate students to learn to speak English more actively. This research also found some strengths and weaknesses that are important for teachers, students, and other researchers to know so that the use of PBL method can give the expected positive impacts. The strengths of PBL for teachers are making the teaching process easier and seeing the progress that has been achieved by students, the strengths of PBL for students are being more active, independent, motivated, and mentally trained. The weaknesses of PBL for teachers who lack knowledge about PBL. The weaknesses of PBL for students, to students who are lazy to learn so that it makes them confused and feel burdened.
