Abstak
Video-based learning is one of the methods that can be used by teachers in teaching
English especially vocabulary. Video-based learning is consider as an effective, useful
and motivating method in teaching vocabulary. With teachers' perceptions of the use of
video-based learning in vocabulary teaching, teachers can evaluate the use of the method
and whether video-based learning can be used in teaching and learning vocabulary. The
purpose of this study was to find out how teachers' perceptions toward the use of video
based learning in teaching vocabulary. This study used case study research method with
questionnaires and interviews as instruments in data collection. The participants in this
study were five English teachers in Bogor who use video-based learning as one of the
methods in teaching English in their classrooms. The findings in this study showed that
teachers have a positive perception in using video-based learning in teaching English
especially in teaching vocabulary. Participants agreed that video-based learning is a
useful, effective teaching method and can increase students' learning motivation.
