ABSTRACT

The purpose Of this research is knowing whether or not Islamic short movie help
children to improve their English vocabuiary. This research is classroom action research
collaboratively with Hopkins model. Every cycle consist of four stages that are planning
the action, implementing the action, Observing and reflecting the action. The subjects Of
this research arc elüldvcn group Bl TKA Plus A1-Ikhlas Bogor that consist of I I children,
7 females and 4 males. The Object of this research is English vocabulary mastery using
Islamic short movie•asa learning media. data collection technique that used are test,
observation, semi-structed interview and documentation. The instrument that used are
test, observation Shea, semi-structe interview and documentation. Data analysis
method that used are quantitative descr ptive table peteentage and qualitative descriptive.
The indicator Of success in.ihis research is thq average of children's vocabulary mastery
reach 80%.
Children % vocabulary mastery experienced an improvement after the researcher
giving an action done through several stages and processes. This case was proved by the
results of children's vocabulary mastery average and their responses. At pre-cycle in the
amount of 18,2%, increase become on cycle with MB (Begin TO Develop)
criteria, and reached 8118% on cycle II with BSH (Develop As Expected) criteria. The
result of children's average inwrovement on vocabulary mastery was proved by dieir
responses which was showed that they felt happier and enjoy watched Islamic short
movie whilst learning vocabulary.
